Meet  Alberder 

Alberder Gillespie is a visionary leader, highly skilled political strategist, master coalition builder and dynamic speaker and facilitator. Throughout her career, she has developed a reputation as a truth-teller, change agent and movement builder. 

More than a decade and a half ago, Alberder’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch  successful  consulting firm, PowerHouse, LLC (formerly Collaborative Connections). Alberder’s many clients, in multiple industries, have benefited from her action oriented approach and her ability to design and implement strategic plans that deliver results.

As a champion of diversity and inclusion, Alberder has a reputation of refusing to accept the status quo. She is a forward thinking and action-oriented practitioner.​

Alberder is a dedicated servant leader. She is the lead founder and Chief Strategist and Convener for Black Women Rising, a Common Cause board member, DFL Women's Hall of Fame inductee, current MN Amateur Sports Commissioner, former South Washington School board member and always a Drum Major for Justice.

Alberder stands ready to speak truth to power and represent the citizens of Minnesota. She will be the voice of the people and embrace the challenge of change.
